Hospitals in the West

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Description

The ambulance service in Kungälv consists of four ambulance stations: Ale, Kungälv, Stenungsund, and Tjörn, as well as a unit for non-emergency patient transport. The ambulance service employs 53 permanent staff members.

The ambulance service in Alingsås consists of two ambulance stations: Alingsås and Lerum. Approximately 45 permanent staff members work within the ambulance service.

Responsibilities

As an ambulance nurse, you play an active role in planning, executing, and being responsible for the tasks within ambulance care, based on the Health and Medical Services Act, the Patient Safety Act, and directives from the ambulance chief physician. The ambulance nurse should, from an ethical standpoint, contribute to good reception, quality patient care, and a positive work environment.

Orientation training starts on 26-05-01.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant with further education in ambulance care, you must have training and experience in emergency driving. A driving license with at least C1 category is required. Good local knowledge within the respective ambulance district is highly meritorious.

You should have practical experience in the field of ambulance care and good physical ability as we conduct physical tests. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability, where flexibility and the ability to work independently are important factors.

The recruitment process includes checks with IVO, the National Board of Health and Welfare, the Swedish Transport Agency, and extracts from the suspicion and criminal records.

Test days for Kungälv are 26-01-21 and 26-02-18. Test days for Alingsås are 26-02-05 and 26-02-20.

Employment Type

This is a fixed-term employment until 2026-08-31 with the possibility of extension.

Work Location
